Running behind myself

topic posted Wed, March 30, 2005 - 7:12 PM by  P. David
Circles, this life keeps spinning in circles...no,
spirals
and coming back to where I stood
another year ago, or two.
Need more work, more time, more
compassion, sorrow, pain, yeah right...
need help to get off the spiral train,
I don't remember buying a ticket.

Been alone for ever longer than time can pass,
a child's Birthday so far away, so close to mom,
so far from home, but close to his.

A round-about spinning cars off the center circle,
a <a href="www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp onmouseover="window.status='merry-go-round'; return true;" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;">merry-go-round</a> only all the riders are going somewhere,
why the fuck can't I go somewhere?
I can't even catch up to myself,
I must be running behind me.
Gotta get outta this rut before it's later
than I thought.

Wow, I really can relate. I liked it alot.

Do you mind me asking, was the website link and the other computer commands intentional?

      A rut or a strut?

Here I see that every one is bobbing to their own beat
...but it is not good. I used to think that uniformity
      was bad...it is of course
but unity is a different story
He cringes when I use the word
      COMMUNICATION
but that is what I think art, teaching, writing
      is all about

I'm not running behind but running after
      or running in circles
      but always moving forward
with my head screwed on backwards

I had dream once I was hugging onto my lover
      while walking down the street
      then he disappeared
and I was only holding onto myself
      I was embracing myself
